Meet Me in Seattle

To celebrate my birthday we took an impromptu trip to Seattle over Memorial Day weekend. We haven't been back since we moved away and Adam knows how much I loved living there and how much I adore that city. Of course, no visit is complete without a trip to Pike's Place. We had to make a stop for my favorite doughnuts, and they were as good as I remembered. We then headed for a walk to Sculpture Park, which has unique art and great views of the Space Needle.
We met up with Adam's brother, Dave (who now lives there), for a family reunion at Buckley's.
It was a perfect birthday weekend and a perfect day in Seattle complete with those grey skies that I grew to love while living there.

At the Park

Gigi would pick up rocks, sticks, or trash and bring them to me... at least she didn't put them in her mouth!

Fifteen Months Old (Gigi's Monthly Photo)

Gigi turned fifteen months old on May 19th. Here are her stats:
Height: 29.5 inches; 15th percentile
Weight: 18 lbs 4 oz; 1st percentile
Head: 45.5 cm; 60th percentile

Gigi started walking right before 13 months and now she is getting faster and getting into everything! She loves to open our kitchen drawers and cupboards and pull everything out and haul it around the house. She is also learning lots of new words and her favorites are farm animal sounds. Her favorite toy is daddy's iPhone (she knows how to use it!); she loves walking around and pretending to talk on it.

Gigi's 1st X-ray

So on Sunday Gigi got her 1st X-ray. She hurt her right arm the night before but we thought she had just sprained it and that it would be better the next day. Well, after a sleepless night we decided we better visit the urgent care and have a doctor take a look.
He sent us to get an x-ray, which Gigi hated. She cried the whole way thru it and not even her favorite book, That's Not My Doggie could cheer her up. When the x-rays came back clean (no broken bones, thank goodness) the Dr said it was most likely just a dislocated elbow. So he snapped it back in place and Gigi was back to normal about twenty minutes later. It was a pretty eventful day and we're so glad that everything turned out okay.
