Mexico

We ate a LOT of tacos while in Mexico. My favorites were spicy pork with pineapple at El Fogon and fish tacos at Los Aguachiles. So yummy!!!

We also went to Xplor, which is an adventure place where we went zip lining, cave swimming and rafting, and drove amphibious vehicles.

We took this pic outside of our condo the night of our anniversary. We went to a yummy dinner at Imprevist, which served international cuisine (a break from tacos!).

I made sure to get in plenty of time on the beach! And of course I had to have my Dr. Pepper too! Pure bliss. :)
It was a wonderful vacation and next time we'll have to take the kids with us. They would have so much fun playing on the beautiful beaches!!!

Mexico: Chichen Itza

We took a day trip to Chichen Itza, which is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It was so ah-mazing! We had a guide to take us around since there was so much to see here.

The Great Ball Court, where they would play games.

At the end of the Ball Court there is a Temple of The Bearded Man where there's a carving of a man that has facial hair (Jesus Christ).

Skull Platform, where they used to perform human sacrafices

Mexico: Coba

After Tulum we visited the Coba ruins. Everyone told us to visit these as well since you can actually climb on them. :) And, it's not very far from Tulum. We didn't get a guide here but we did rent one of those guys to bike us around since all the sites were super far from each other and it would have been a LOT of walking.

Here we are on our bike taxi :)

Mexico: Tulum

For our 10 year anniversary, Adam and I spent a week in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Adam's parents were so sweet and came out to watch our kids for us (thank you, thank you!). We had such a wonderful trip and it was so nice to spend time with each other.

On our 2nd day we visited the ruins at Tulum. We got one of the 'mormon guides' to show us around and it was so interesting how the history ties in with the Book of Mormon. It was a hot and humid day but such a beautiful place to see.

I couldn't believe how beautiful the water and beach were at Tulum. I think this is one of my favorite beaches ever. Which is good since I have a pic of it hanging in my dining room!

I told Adam I was re-creating this pic by Max Wanger:

I know, my version is not even close to his, haha!!!
