Maui Day 3

Our 3rd day on the island we drove north from Kaanapali and explored the northwest side of the island. We stopped along the way to see some beautiful views of the ocean.
 Adam's family
Gigi had fun running around and exploring...
We then drove up further and stopped to see the blowhole; of course I had to get a pic of this sign. :)
We continued to go north and drove through lots of little towns and lots of winding roads. It reminded me of the road to Hana. We finally arrived at Kahului where we took turns going on a helicopter ride. After some schmoozing from Adam's dad we got upgraded to a longer helicopter tour (thanks Bill!). Our helicopter tour was of west Maui and Molokai and it was beautiful! Here we are all ready to go...

We took the ride with Adam's parents...
Beautiful views from the helicopter...
After the tour we drove into the town of Paia where we had an amazing lunch at the Paia Fish Market. If you're ever in Maui I would highly recommend going here, the food was delicious! I had the fish tacos which were really tasty (and apparently the best thing celebrity chef Curtis Stone ever ate!). My brother-in-law Mark shared some of his fish and chips and they were the best I've ever had, they were sooooooo good!
After a long day we then drove back to our hotel to relax and unwind.

That looks wonderful! I guess you never had to worry about gigi running into the ocean. I bet that was kind of nice in a way.
Super jealous...glad you had a good time.

Your helicopter ride photos are great - you saw so much beautiful scenery! I am hungry for fresh fish just reading about your lunch!
