Christmas 2011

We opened our presents early, since we were going to be in Utah on Christmas day. Gigi loved it, she got to open presents twice!  Gigi is obsessed with Sesame Street and especially Elmo. So we had to get her the new Elmo toy.

 We spent Christmas Eve with Jessica's family. Each year the kids get to act out the birth of our Savior. Gigi was a shepherd this year.

 Then we spent Christmas Day with Adam's family.

Beach and Hollywood

While in Southern California we had to visit the beach! It was also a nice break from Disneyland. We drove down to the Santa Monica pier and had fun playing in the freezing water. Gigi did NOT like the sand!

We had dinner at The Rolling Stone and then walked down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and got some pics in a celebrity's handprint. I of course chose Matt Damon!

It was great visiting LA... I miss the sun and the beautiful weather but getting caught in traffic was a reminder of why we wanted to move. It is a great place to visit though.

Disneyland!

In December I took a last minute trip to Disneyland! I went with my sister Tricia and her family and my brother Evan and his family. We had a blast! It was my first time seeing the park all decorated for Christmas. I brought my stroller for Gigi but she did not want to ride in it at all. She wanted to walk everywhere and probably walked 5 miles each day!

Two of the days we had beautiful weather but one day we got rained out (at least the park was empty that day!). And we came prepared with our ponchos! We ate lunch at Ariel's Grotto so the little girls could meet some Disney Princesses.

And Gigi's favorite ride was the new Ariel ride. She kept saying "Ariel ride" so of course we had to go on it a bunch of times. I also got her the baby stuffed Ariel that she sleeps with every night. We can't wait to go back, but next time we'll have to make sure Adam can go with us!

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Portland. It was hard being away from our families but we still had a good time and some good food! Adam cooked the turkey and green beans and I did the rolls, potatoes, stuffing and cranberry sauce. And I made Adam's favorite dessert, pumpkin cheesecake! 

Twenty-One Months Old (Gigi's Monthly Photo)

Gigi turned twenty-one months old on November 19th.

Gigi is such a busy little girl! She loves books, animals and all things to do with music. She also likes to watch Sesame Street and of course her favorite is Elmo. Gigi and I took a mommy and me dance class and she loved going and dancing with me. She also recently discovered her nose and that her little finger will fit inside of it!

Halloween

I love this time of year and especially Halloween. Adam carved our pumpkin for us and I ate the pumpkin seeds!

We went to the Halloween party at Adam's work and they go all out! All six floors of the building were decked out for Halloween. Gigi loved it!

I tried to take some pics of Gigi in her Ladybug costume but she didn't like it. It's hard taking pics of a toddler who doesn't want to sit still for mommy!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time visiting our local pumpkin patch. Gigi LOVED seeing all the farm animals so we had to go into the barn a few times! She especially loved the duck and goose.

We also went on a bumpy hay ride, ate some yummy food, and got to pick out our pumpkin!
