Mickelsen Family Trip 2010

We just returned from a trip to Utah to visit both of our families. The week started out with a stay in Midway with the Mickelsen family. We had a great time shopping (for the girls), golfing (for the guys), playing games and eating some great food! The little girls opened a spa where you could get treatments like manicures, pedicures, hairdos and even a massage. It was really cute!

Adam and I went four wheeling and by the looks of it, I guess we followed too closely behind my dad!

The girls went shopping and all picked up the same sweater. Great minds think alike!

On our last day we stopped by Park City and did the alpine slide.

Muumuu Dress

Gigi and I both got colds last week and are still recovering. I hate having a cold in the middle of summer! This is the first time she's ever been sick, so it was a little scary at first. Of course I jumped to conclusions and diagnosed her using the internet, which is never a good thing! I was certain she had whooping cough! After a visit to the doctor he said it was just a cold and not to worry. Phew! Here are a few pics I snapped (in her muumuu according to Conrad!) before all the drama.

Five Months Old (Gigi's Monthly Photo)

Gigi turned five months old on July 19th. Here are her monthly stats: 

Height: 24 1/2 inches; 25th percentile 

Weight: 13 lbs 2 oz; 15th percentile 

Head: 16.15 in; 15th percentile 

 Gigi has mastered the art of scooting around and can scoot anywhere to get something. She is going to be crawling any day now! She loves when I read books to her and her favorite is Baby Faces (which has been her favorite since she was 3 mos old). She is very interested in texture and her little grabby fingers love to feel everything within her reach.

Life's A Beach!

We went to the beach a week ago for Gigi's first time. I lathered her up in sunscreen but when we got there it was overcast and a little windy so we didn't stay too long. And then we discovered our camera battery was dead so all we got were these iPhone pics. Oh well, I think Gigi slept most of the time! We'll definitely have to make a trip back when it's sunnier so I can get a tan on my bright white legs!

Red, White & Buddy

Happy 4th of July! We snapped a family photo for the holiday all dressed up in red, white and blue! Tonight we're going over to a friend's house to eat and watch the fireworks from their rooftop.
