Gigi's First Day of 2nd Grade

Gigi's first day of school was on August 28th. She is excited to start 2nd grade and see all of her friends she missed over the summer!

The Great Eclipse

I didn't plan ahead for the eclipse so when we got home from Utah I couldn't find a single pair of eclipse glasses in the state of Minnesota! But I did find out that the Science Museum was hosting a viewing party and with paid admission you got a pair of glasses. So off we went! Here are the kids waiting for the big event...

We had a partial eclipse of about 80% and lots of clouds but it was still neat to see!

I'm glad I found some glasses so we could see it :)

Utah: Mickelsen House

We spent a week and a half at the Mickelsen house and had so much fun! I loved going on early morning runs with my sisters, sister in law and friends! We ran the Speedy Spaniard together on the 24th of July...

Liam had a few playdates with his cousin Dex...

We went swimming at a friends house and they had newborn kittens that Gigi fell in love with. She kept asking to take one home!

Finally got to try Waffle Love and it did not disappoint!

 My mom always loves to have a tea party for the girls and it was yummy! Here are the tables all set up for the guests...

My brother has a rock wall in his basement that Gigi and Liam loved to climb. They both did great and Gigi made it all the way to the top!

It was a great trip and a great time spent with family! Here we are on the long drive home...
