Mickelsen Christmas

We spent the other half of our time with the Mickelsen's. We did our yearly tradition of reading the nativity story and having the kids dress up. Liam was Joseph and Gigi was a sheep.

Gigi had lots of sleepovers (which I didn't get pics of) and Liam had Dex over too.

Craw Christmas

We spent half of our time in Utah with the Craw's. Christmas Day the kids woke up to wonderful present from Bill and Georgia......
a trip to Hawaii!!!!!


We then opened up our presents but I forgot to take pics! Anne and I decided to go for a run since the weather was so nice. We had to wear our matching leggings!

We played lots of rounds of Dominoes

Gigi and Liam decorated a gingerbread house

We went to Mary Poppins together

And our Christmas/New Year lobster dinner, which was amazing!!!

Christmas Jammies Part II

We decided to do a family photo with everyone in Christmas jammies and I love it! I think it will become a yearly tradition now!

Christmas at Home

This year we went to Utah for Christmas so we had to open our presents early so I didn't have to bring them all with us! The night before the kids left this cute note for Santa...

Christmas Jammies

I love matching holiday jammies and have to get a pic of Gigi and Liam in them every year! Gigi picked them out and of course she wanted the onesie kind!

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas in Minneapolis this year and the kids woke up bright and early of course! Here they are ready to dig into their stockings...

For Christmas dinner Adam grilled steak and shrimp in the cold!

It was worth it. :)

Mickelsen Christmas & New Year's Eve

We headed south to spend a few days with my parents and family. We had a cinnamon roll making party with all the grandkids at my mom's house. Each grandkid got to make their own pan and they loved rolling out the dough and frosting them...

The next day we had our family Christmas party. Per tradition, all the grandkids acted out the nativity and it was Liam's turn to be Joseph...

and Gigi was an angel...

We had a yummy dinner and then exchanged gifts and had a fun white elephant gift exchange!




New Year's Eve
On the afternoon before New Year's Eve, we played some games at my mom's house


That night, Kelly hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner Party! We each had an assigned character to play and had to dress in costume and wear a hat!

During dinner, you had to reveal information about yourself and other characters. Then, after dinner we discovered who was the victim of the crime! We then gathered together to discuss who had done it and reveal the culprit! It was a lot of fun and we all had a great time playing this game. 

After our dinner, it was time to celebrate the New Year! We always do a 'Kids New Year' at 10pm so they aren't up too late :)
